Pormal nang gisugdan sa pagpahigayon ang Search For A Singing Star Season 2 nga gipasi-ugdahan sa Zamboanga del Norte United Correspondents (ZNUC) kaniadtong Oktubre 1 adlaw nga Sabado sa gabie didto sa Provincial Capitol Plaza diin gidugukan sa daghanang katawhan.

Nahimong mananaug atol sa pagbukas sa maong kalihukan mao ang lumulupyo sa barangay Lugdungan ning dakbayan sa Dipolog nga si Robert Bagawisan, 25 anyos, kinsa nakadaug sa kanta niining “One In A Million You” samtang si Danny Gomez nga residente sa barangay sicayab ang nakadawat sa consolation prize.

Samtang ang 2nd weekly winner kaniadtong Oktubre 10 mao si April Regencia nga taga-Sta. Isabel dakbayan sa Dipolog diin midaug sa iyang kanta nga “Don’t Cry Out Loud” ug ang 3rd weekly winner mao ang taga-Molave, Zamboanga del Sur nga si Sunshine

Kahibaluan nga ang maong programa sa ZNUC nga ubos sa presidente kaniadto nga si Hon. MEDIA GROUP SENDS OFF MEMBER-CANDIDATES, BUT WARNS TO UPHOLD MEDIA INTEGRITY IN GOVERNMENT SERVICE

 

Dipolog City – Leaders of the Zamboanga del Norte United Correspondents (ZNUC) on Wednesday wished good luck and sent-off their members who have seek government positions by filing their Certificate of Candidacies in the various government posts up for grab this coming May local and national elections.

Roney Pacilan and Leo Cimafranca, President and Chairman of the Board, respectively, both wished their members who officially filed their COC’s for various government posts, ‘good luck’ on Wednesday afternoon’s ZNUC Weekly Forum, and Christmas Party at Club Jucarde.

ZNUC Members who have sought government positions in the coming elections

During the Forum former councilor Ricky Mejorada, Broadcaster Nick Carbonel and Reporter Marlowe Renacia all members in good standing of ZNUC, expressed their separate views and intentions and explained the reasons why they have filed their COC’s. Zamora who is popularly known as “Mr. Kasayuran” was an undefeated councilor of Dipolog but had lost his bid for the provincial board on the 2001 elections, have vowed to pursue his desire to represent the second district in the provincial legislature under the APP banner of Atty. Land E. Yebes.

Councilor Mejorada, said that he would seek re-election as he embarked on formulating another program for the next three years. He said he would vest on Purok Development program as his flagship program. He will run under the LAKAS – CMD Coalition of incumbent Mayor Roberto Y. Uy.

Carbonel who already have two unsuccessful bids for a seat in the Roxas town Municipal council in 1998 and 2001 said he has renewed interest to pursue his political plans when the Roxas incumbent administration under the APP pick him up as one of its bet for SB Member.

While Renacia who is running as an Independent for Municipal Councilor seat in Rizal town said he intends to represent the youth and basked on Rural Development for his town.

ZNUC members lead by Pacilan and Cimafranca however cautioned their member-candidates on upholding the integrity of the media in the course of their government duty if they succeed in their bids.

Cimafranca told them that the government is the only single source of scandal and is the subject of the media’s focus on the daily basis. He said that it is understandable that some on the premise that they wanted to change the dirty landscape of politics but most often these personalities where caught in the tangle by the system itself. He however hoped that these media personalities would succeed on their desire.

Pacilan on the other hand cautioned them that media and politics is a two diverse dimensions which is undoubtedly irreconcilable, he said that while media as a fourth state has no direct public accountability, the government officials mandated by the people must be accountable to the people.
